Established in 1981, Central MN Youth Soccer Association seeks to administer a community and volunteer-driven soccer program that provides for the growth and development of our players, coaches and referees. Our Association works to promote a fun, fair, and safe environment that maximizes participation and improves players' skills while developing sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence.
The Local Education and Activities Foundation (LEAF) Board wants families of youth players to know that our public schools have a great need for used sports equipment.
LEAF recently started an Activities Participation Fund, which will assist individual students who might not be able to afford to be in a school activity/athletic team. Funds will help pay for a sports physical, cleats/shoes, transportation home from practices, etc for those students who might not be able to be involved because of the expense of participation.
Used sports equipment is also needed and would be used before this fund would be accessed, therefore making our LEAF Participation Fund dollars go farther. If we can reduce any barrier to participation in school activities, our whole community benefits.
Items needed include: baseball and softball cleats, baseball/softball gloves, soccer cleats and shin guards, basketball shoes, football cleats, volleyball knee pads/shoes, tennis rackets, and any other gently used sporting equipment.
If you have soccer items that your children no longer use, please consider donating these items to the St. Cloud School District. You can drop items off at your school once school starts.
CMYSA is grateful to our many community sponsors who support youth soccer. Please show your appreciation by giving your patronage to their establishments.
